Welcome to Hayati. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hayati mobile application (the "App") operated by Apps Foundry Labs Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. About Hayati
Hayati is a matchmaking platform designed for Muslim individuals seeking meaningful, faith-centred connections grounded in Islamic values. The App facilitates introductions and is not a dating service in the conventional sense. We encourage respectful, purposeful interactions aligned with the principles of modesty and commitment.
2. Eligibility
To use Hayati, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be legally able to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the App under applicable law
- Not have been previously banned or removed from the platform
By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.
4. Acceptable Use
When using Hayati, you agree to:
- Treat all users with respect and dignity
- Use the App for its intended purpose of seeking meaningful connections
- Provide truthful information in your profile
- Respect the privacy and boundaries of other users
You agree not to:
- Harass, bully, intimidate, or threaten any user
- Post false, misleading, or deceptive profile information
- Use the App for commercial purposes, advertising, or solicitation
- Upload content that is obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or illegal
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App
- Circumvent any security features, verification processes, or moderation systems
- Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
5. Profile Verification
Hayati offers a selfie verification feature to help maintain authenticity and trust. By using this feature:
- You consent to capturing a selfie for comparison with your profile photos
- You understand that verification does not guarantee the character or intentions of any user
- Verification status may be revoked if we determine that your profile is misleading

6. Content and Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, bio, messages). By posting content on Hayati, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the App.
Our Content
All intellectual property in the App (design, code, branding, logos) belongs to Apps Foundry Labs Ltd. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without our prior written consent.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Hayati offers free and premium subscription tiers. If you subscribe to a premium plan:
- Payment is processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
- Refunds are subject to the policies of the respective app store
- We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice
Free-tier users may have limited access to certain features as described within the App.
8. Wali (Guardian) Involvement
Hayati supports the involvement of a wali (guardian) in the matchmaking process, reflecting Islamic values. If you choose to involve a wali:
- You are responsible for ensuring that any wali contact information you provide is accurate and that the individual has consented to being contacted
- We are not responsible for any interactions or disputes between you and your wali
9. Moderation and Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Review, remove, or restrict any content that violates these Terms
- Suspend or permanently ban accounts that breach our rules
- Investigate reports of misconduct and take appropriate action
- Cooperate with law enforcement when required
Decisions regarding moderation are made at our discretion. We may issue warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans depending on the severity of the violation.
10. Safety and Reporting
Your safety is our priority. If you experience or witness any inappropriate behaviour, you can:

- Block a user to prevent further contact

We take all reports seriously and investigate them promptly. However, we cannot guarantee the conduct of any user and encourage you to exercise caution when interacting with others.
11. Disclaimers
- Hayati is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user profile or content
- We do not conduct background checks on users
- We are not responsible for the actions, behaviour, or intentions of any user
- We do not guarantee that you will find a match or that the App will meet your expectations
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apps Foundry Labs Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the App
- Any interactions with other users
- Unauthorised access to your data
- Any errors or interruptions in the service
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Apps Foundry Labs Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. We may terminate or suspend your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your profile and data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Any active subscription will not be automatically refunded (cancellation through the app store is required)
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., limitation of liability, indemnification) will remain in effect
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
